It’s Official! Spiderman is Joining Marvel Cinematic Universe

A very very very great news for all Spidey and Marvel fans!

Finally, after some speculations about the web-slinger joining MCU, now, Marvel has make it official that Sony and Marvel Studios under Disney, will join together to produce future Spiderman movie and make the possibility for Spiderman to make appearance on future Marvel movies.

“I am thrilled to team with my friends at Sony Pictures along with Amy Pascal to produce the next Spider-Man movie. Amy has been deeply involved in the realization on film of one of the world’s most beloved characters. Marvel’s involvement will hopefully deliver the creative continuity and authenticity that fans demand from the MCU. I am equally excited for the opportunity to have Spider-Man appear in the MCU, something which both we at Marvel, and fans alike, have been looking forward to for years.” – Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige.

While the news is exactly exciting for the fans, another report, even though it wasn’t an official report, stated that Andrew Garfield may be out as Peter Parker. Spiderman most likely will make his first appearance in third instalment Captain America movie, Captain America : Civil War, given that in the comic, Spiderman is quite an integral part of the storyline. But, it’s possible for Spiderman to make appearance in MCU before Civil War.

Black Widow Confirmed for Captain America : Civil War

Seems like the third instalment of The First Avenger movie, Captain America : Civil War will be more crowded with more superheroes. After Robert Downey Jr. will join Steve Roger on his third solo movie, Black Panther will make his debut on screen appearance, Winter Soldier, Falcon, and possibly Crossbones returned, now, the Russo’s brother, directors of Captain America : The Winter Soldier, confirmed that we will see more Scarlett Johansson as the Russian spy a.k.a Black Widow on Captain America : Civil War.

We’ve been preparing for the movie since the last one debuted last year,” Anthony Russo said. “So, we’ve been working on it for a long time now. We’re very happy how it’s coming along. Captain America 3 is going to be called Captain America: Civil War,and it’s going to star Chris Evans. Scarlett Johansson will be back, Winter Soldier will be back, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man will also be joining us in the next film.

Agent Romanov presence shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. She played a major role on The Avengers movie and Captain America : The Winter Soldier, and she seems to fit in on the Civil War story that surrounding the conflict between Tony Stark and Steve Roger. We don’t know yet whether she will stand by Tony Stark as pro Superhero Registration Act, or against the act just like Steve Rogers.

First Ant-Man Trailer Hits Online

Marvel Studios has released the first full-length trailer for their upcoming movie, Ant-Man, starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, and Evangeline Lilly.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man. Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

First Look of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man

We have seen Paul Rudd as Scott Lang in Ant-Man teaser trailer and some official released stills. But, how about Scott Lang as Ant-Man?

Marvel has released the first poster of Ant-Man featuring Scott Lang in a costume.

Well, that looks more like an actual ant rather than Ant-Man. But, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, the cover for this week issue is quite the same picture as the official Ant-Man poster released plus MAGNIFYING GLASS! Woohoo! Finally we can clearly see how Lang looks in actual Ant-Man costume.

Marvel has released a teaser trailer for their upcoming movie, Ant-Man. It gives us proper look of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) , Hope Van Dyne ( Evangeline Lily) , and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) ‘s Lab, and Yellowjacket (Corey Stoll) without his costume. The first full Ant-Man trailer will be shown during Marvel’s Agent Carter 2-hours premiere on Tuesday, January 6 at 8 p.m ET on ABC.

Armed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.

5 Actors Who Could Be The Next Spiderman.

Recently, rumors flying that Sony and Marvel are in negotiating state to bring Spiderman into MCU and Marvel wants to cast new actor to replace Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spiderman. Although Andrew Garfield still my favorite Peter Parker (forever!), if they really replace him, I have some actors in my mind as Spidey.

1. Zac Efron

I know this isn’t probably the choice that many Spiderman fans would agree. But I think, he can play nerdy, funny, sexy, and flirty Peter Parker and Spiderman. And who can argue that Zac Efron definitely has the build for Spidey. There were rumors I read somewhere few months ago that Marvel wants to recruit Zac Efron. But then the news disappeared. Who knows, maybe, now he can be Marvel’s Spiderman.

2. Logan Lerman

 There were some rumors before Andrew Garfield got the role of Spiderman that Logan Lerman was one of the actor on the run for Peter Parker. It turned out that the rumor was wrong. Now, if the studio wants to cast younger/teenager Peter Parker, why would not go with Logan Lerman. He was really good as Percy Jackson and brilliant in The Perks of Being Wallflower. He could be really great Peter Parker with slightly awkward and nerdy. Put him under the mask and he could be badass superhero.

3. Liam Hemsworth

I always picture him as Thor’s brother, Baldr. I think it would be awesome to cast him as Baldr if Marvel decides to bring the God of Light to MCU. But, why not cast Liam as Spiderman? He is handsome, talented, and he could play college student Peter Parker, having a part time job in Daily Bugle, and being Spiderman. And it would be fun to watch he and Chris together in one movie. Maybe one or two banters with Thor would be great. Liam has auditioned for Thor in 2011 before his big bro, Chris Hemsworth, sabotaged it and get the role of God of Thunder. Maybe, its time for lil bro to step in to MCU.

4. Grant Gustin

He is my favorite contender to be the next Spidey! I know, he is The Flash now and he is super busy to save Central City from meta-human attack, but, who didn’t think that he could really fit for the role of Spiderman? He has the look and build for Spiderman and even when he portrays Barry Allen, I could see Peter Parker in him. So, when Batman v. Superman can cast Ezra Miller as Flash, and Ryan Reynolds can be both Deadpool and Green Lantern, why not make Grant Gustin as both Flash and Spiderman?

5. Chris Pine

 It is very unlikely to cast older actor as Peter Parker, but, if the studio wants to go with older Spiderman, I think Chris Pine would suit for the role. He proved that he could play dorky and badass Captain Kirk in Star Trek. And don’t forget about his dreamy eyes! He never played any superhero before, so, maybe Spiderman could be his first superhero role. And it’s not a bad thing to bring another Chris as Marvel superheroes.

Confirmed! Netflix’s Daredevil Will Definitely Wear His Red Costume.

The first official images of Marvel and Netflix Daredevil gave us the glimpse of Matt Murdock and his alias, Daredevil, but in his black costume. What?!?

Entertainment Weekly has reported that The Man Without Fear will definitely don his iconic red costume latter in the show. In the image released, he has much simpler, black costume inspired by Frank Miller and John Romita, Jr.’s Daredevil: The Man Without Fear miniseries, and showrunners have not (yet) commented on whether the red Daredevil costume would eventually appear in the show.

“The ‘devil’ will eventually get his iconic red costume, but first he’ll wear the black duds seen here—inspired by Frank Miller’s graphic novel Daredevil: Man Without Fear. For Cox, the biggest challenge was deftly navigating Murdock without using his eyes. Simple things like making breakfast or getting dressed suddenly become trickier than fighting bad guys. “Like, I put on a shirt but I can’t look where the buttons are, because Daredevil wouldn’t know where the buttons are. But I also can’t fumble,” Cox says. No pressure, but another thing you’re not allowed to fumble: Marvel’s winning streak.” -Entertainment Weekly.

Marvel’s Daredevil is “a live action series that follows the journey of attorney Matt Murdock, who in a tragic accident was blinded as a boy but imbued with extraordinary senses. Murdock sets up practice in his old neighborhood of Hell’s Kitchen, New York where he now fights against injustice as a respected lawyer by day and masked vigilante at night.”

Daredevil is coming to Netflix in 2015.

Petition To Keep Andrew Garfield As Spiderman/Peter Parker.

Following recent series of news reporting that either Marvel or Sony or even both wanting to once again reboot Spiderman and cast new actor to take the role of Peter Parker and Spiderman, fans have launched a petition in order to convince both Sony and Marvel to keep The Amazing Spiderman‘s star, Andrew Garfield, as the Wall Crawler in the future movies.

The petition goes with title of ‘Don’t Replace Andrew Garfield as Spider Man‘ has already signed three quarters of its goal of 10,000. Fans also spread their wish to keep the actor through another social media with some hashtags such as #NoAndrewNoSpiderMan #AndrewGarfieldinCivilWar and #SupportAndrew .

Evangeline Lilly Reveals Her Character on Ant-Man

The Hobbit star, Evangeline Lilly, who will be seen as Hope Van Dyne in Marvel’s upcoming movie, Ant-Man, reveals more about her character as Hope and her connection with Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne who are actually her parents, during interview with Empire.

“When I first signed on, It didn’t really occur to me how monumental or what a big deal that was. I just thought ‘Oh great, Michael? Paul [Rudd]? Wonderful; great cast’. I’m very clinical about deciding what roles I’ll take, so I’ve sort of been checking boxes, and Michael became a box I checked. [I thought] ‘Okay great, they’ve cast that one well…moving on’ and I carried on with my process of checks and balances. And then I got to work [on-set] and started working with him, and then about halfway through shooting, I had to do this very intense emotional with Michael Douglas. And it wasn’t until midway through shooting this scene with him that suddenly the penny dropped and it occurred to me ‘Oh my God, I’m acting opposite Michael Douglas; this is a legendary star’. He’s a consummate actor, and it hit me. The reason it hit me was because I had been working with him for long enough to have suddenly kind of realize ‘Oh my God, he’s such a force every time he shows up on set. Every time they call action, what he brings into the room makes the room electric; it brings everything to life. And I realized I was standing before and had the privilege to be working with a living legend.”

She also kind of hinted that Hank Pym and Wasp, Hope parents, will actually be superheroes in this movie before something terrible happened to Wasp. “I was raised by two superheroes. So, I’m a pretty screwed up human being. I am also fairly capable, strong, and kick-ass, which is wonderful to play, but the most fun to play was just how messed up she was from being raised by two superheroes. And the clear message sent by name is that I’m not a big fan of my father and so I took my mother’s name.”

It was rumored that in the beginning of Ant-Man movie will be set in 1960. We might get to see young Pym and hopefully Wasp before the story goes to present day and more focusing on Scott Lang. Do you think that Hope will take the mantle of Wasp and fighting alongside Lang who will be Ant-Man? Are you excited to see Wasp/Ant-Man team up?
